Directed by John Tsiavis
Some people choose to be an activist, for others, it’s an ongoing fight for survival. This is a ‘moving portrait’ of Mellow, a trans, non-binary activist in Los Angeles. The story of moving out of darkness into the light, turning hardship into positivity.

Director Statement
The recent worldwide movement focused on civil rights, climate sustainability, and justice reform compelled me to create this series of ‘moving portraits’ featuring a new generation of activists. Tell their stories and shine a light on their causes, their cultures, and realities.
On a personal level, this series was my outlet to create, connect, share and collaborate during the height of COVID. An opportunity to turn moments of darkness and uncertainty into positivity and beauty.
