The April 2018 Los Angeles FEEDBACK Film Festival was a tale of two festivals. The audience was overly positive and receptive in the first half documentary moderation, and then the gloves came out in the 2nd half. Perhaps the most “judgemental” and polarizing moderation session this festival has had in over 2 years.

The theme of the festival was “Self Empowerment”.

The LA Festival is building itself up month by month. The co-MVPs of the festival were our camera operators Zack Arch & Aser Santos Jr.. They have really nailed how to shoot in this gigantic cinema and make sure that all the coverage is there for the editor.

They both have to shoot hand-held style as they run up and down the aisles to make sure they have the best shot possible when the audience member is talking. They are in a full sweat after they are done. This type of shooting is not done anywhere else and it took a bit for them to master it – but master it they have!

The crowds are building up and all ready for conversing about the films. I can’t wait to hear what they think about our upcoming lineup of films from around the world.

See you at the festivals.
