ICE FLOW, 10min., Canada, Documentary
Directed by Cynthia Hunt
“Ice Flow,” is a beautiful, absorbing, short non-narrative documentary that depicts the natural world and indirectly raises quesions about human values. In “Ice Flow, the river is the “lead character.” The people in the film (the film-maker and her husband) along with other animals and birds are observed as equal participants sharing nature’s stage as the river freezes. In a place free of industrial noise, the viewer is immersed in the sights and sounds of the river as life flows by.
