Florence Weyne Robert is a script supervisor and assistant director in Brazilian and French cinema industry. After living in Paris and Brazil during years, she settled in Lisbon in 2017, a city she has attended and loved since the late nineties. In Lisbon, she resumed a daily photographic practice. She is currently developing a documentary on creative processes and another on the future evolutions of the district where “Próxima Paragem” was filmed.
The condition of elderly people in our society is something that has always interested me and worried me.
At this café where I stopped regularly for 15 minutes each Saturday in the last 3 months of 2018, I was like adopted by women who started telling me about the neighborhood where we were, going through their lives.
This film is the slow, shy and coy approach of these women through my eyes.
“Next Stop” is the starting point of this still indefinite personal trajectory, guided by encounters that punctuate my daily urban journeys.
