Freya is a Filmmaker/ Lecturer based in Bristol who launched ‘boy and bear films’ in 2014 to develop personal projects. Since then she has made ‘experimental musical’ BREAD AND BUTTER, NOT WAVING starring Peter Bowles for IShorts /Creative England and documentary HOW LUCKY? filmed in Finetown Township, South Africa. She has just completed Experimental Documentary TERMINATED:TEETH&TINDER and is in development on new film SHOPPED OUT.
Freya is a Fulbright Scholar and Fellow of Syracuse University, NY where she completed her MFA in Fine Art Film. She lecturers at UWE_FILM, was awarded a HEA National Teaching Fellowship in 2015, is on the Executive Board for NAHEMI, the Directors Board of IFA Bologna and consults at Institutions including NFTS, LFA and AARDMAN ACADEMY.
Previous she worked as Post Production Supervisor for the BBC, as a freelance Editor and has run filmmaking workshops for charities including C.A.S.T and PROJECT ZULU.
