Director Biography
Olivia Crellin is a staff journalist and documentary filmmaker for BBC World and the BBC World Service. She’s reported from the US, South America – where she was a foreign correspondent – Europe and Africa. Her journalistic interests include women’s issues, social justice, human rights and mental health. Sununu: The Revolution of Love is her first non-student film and first for the BBC.
Before working for the BBC, she worked for Al Jazeera, The Wall Street Journal, VICE News and Reuters among others. She has a MA in English Literature from The University of Cambridge and a MSc in Documentary Film and Journalism from the Columbia University of New York. She’s been awarded numerous grants including from the Overseas Press Club, One World Media and Silver Spotlight Award for Documentary. You can follow her @OliviaCrellin.
