Michael Jerome Wolff is an associate professor of political science at Western Washington University. He has been researching questions of crime and violence in Latin America for fifteen years. “Hotlands,” his first documentary film, takes the viewer to the frontlines of a war that he has been studying up close and personal since 2018.
